Hosted by the Willamette Valley Street Rods, this is always a fun show.

The 2006 car show season was our very first.

The Blue Moon Cruise-In in Salem was the first time I ever showed the RoadMonster.

In fact, it was the first time I had ever shown any car.  Ever.

(My brother in law Scott convinced me to show the car.  I had never planned to.)

This is a very popular Cruise-In that takes place at the Blue Moon Restaurant on Lancaster Avenue in Salem.

This is where my addiction to participating in car shows started…

You may notice that my 1994 Buick Roadmaster has changed significantly since 2006…

In 2006, we had just completed the total suspension rebuild.

The engine bay was clean, but mostly “paint detailed”.

My son and I have disassembled most of the car at least three times since the 2006 season.

Each winter we do a major tear down and upgrade for the next season.

This was our first season showing the RoadMonster.

This is the first car show award that I’ve ever won.  The “Dare to be Different” Award.  It was from the 2006 “Parr Lumber’s 4th Annual Show-N-Shine” sponsored by Les Schwab.  This was a good day!

This is a photo from our very first cruise-in back in the Summer of 2006.  The guy in the white shirt was there for his first time, showing off a classic Mopar that he and his dad had just completed.  I am in the black shirt.  The two guys in the red shirts?  The red Honda shirts?  I think their expressions speak volumes!  LOL!
