This show took place at the Oregon State Fairgrounds during the Marion County Fair in 2008.  My daughter Sam took this picture.  In 2009, the show was moved to the opposite side of the fairgrounds, on the grass.  I kinda missed being right next to the carnival rides…

Here I am with the RoadMonster at the 2008 Tom Newton / A Day In The Park Show in Dallas, Oregon.  In this photo, the car is lined up for the awards presentation.   My car had won the award for Best Engine that day.  This show is a big deal in my area, with over 500 cars in attendance.  I am still in shock and will always be honored that my humble RoadMonster won this award…
