RoadMonster Slideshow

Posted in Photos on June 13th, 2010 by Stewart

These pics are from the 2009 show season and the Salem Roadster Show which took place in February 2010.

I have not had a chance to get the RoadMonster to a show since the SRS.

This week we have two shows to go to.

On Wednesday we have the 5th Annual Fathers Day Show at Avamere Court in Keizer.

Then on Saturday, I’ll be at the Dallas Cruisers show in Dallas, Oregon.

Stay tuned for new pics!

Old Gas Station

I took these pics awhile back at an abandoned gas station.  I want to go back and take some newer pics, but now it is an espresso stand…

Old Pics (594)

Just an old pic that I took at Wallace Marine Park in Salem.  I like the profile of the car in this shot.  I like the reflections on the car.  I like that that triple gauge pod is visible.  The car just looks tough…

I took this picture at the Waterfront Park in Salem.  I like it a lot.

It was used in the 2007 NAISSO Forum Calendar.

Tri-Y header install - Day 3 001

…Build this car and this webpage.  Here is Rob installing the passenger side (e.g. difficult side) exhaust header.  Dad (me) installed the driver’s side (e.g. easy side) header in a lot less time!

We did have a good time with this install.

We even modified a 12 point offset box wrench for the bolt closest to the firewall.

We cut the box wrench in half, and then shortened it even more.  Then we had to take off some material at the box end, so it was a lot thinner.

We ended up with this:

Doesn’t look like a brand new Craftsman wrench, does it?

It works great!

If you look closely, you can see my son’s name engraved in the tool.  He did that after we finished the install.

We used Earl’s Pressure Master Gaskets, so we haven’t had to use this wrench since the initial install.  We have it ready for next time!

Rob also helped with installing new spark plug wires, finding the roof seam leak, and a bunch of other modifications and maintenance on the car.

Finally, Rob has become an expert detailer.  Really.  He helps with the pre-show detailing and does almost all of the post-show detailing.  I trust him more than any local “professionals” that I have met.

Thanks Rob!
