The 2009 Oregon Garden Show

Posted in Shows 2009 on February 3rd, 2010 by Stewart

The Stop And Smell The Roadsters Show held at the Oregon Garden in Silverton, Oregon is one of our favorite shows.

How can you beat this venue?

The Oregon Garden is gorgeous.

In addition, there is always excellent food, beer, wine, etc.

The latest show was held on September 13, 2009.

Mark’s Pontiac is AMAZING!!!

We had a great time.

We saw a lot of amazing cars and met a lot of nice people.

The RoadMonster even won her class:  “Best of 1990′s and Up”

Blue Moon Cruise-Ins – 2006

Posted in Shows 2006 on February 3rd, 2010 by Stewart

The Blue Moon Cruise-In in Salem was the first time I ever showed the RoadMonster.

In fact, it was the first time I had ever shown any car.  Ever.

(My brother in law Scott convinced me to show the car.  I had never planned to.)

This is a very popular Cruise-In that takes place at the Blue Moon Restaurant on Lancaster Avenue in Salem.

This is where my addiction to participating in car shows started…

Here are some of my favorite photos from all of the 2006 Blue Moon Cruise-Ins that we participated in.

Proudly displaying my very first car show award I won the weekend before…

I had some pinstriping restored at one of these cruise-ins…

I had no idea what to expect at the first Cruise-In.

Much to my surprise, the response to the car was very positive!

If you would like to see more car show pictures

…see the right sidebar.

We have categorized the shows by year.

You may notice that my 1994 Buick Roadmaster has changed significantly since 2006…

In 2006, we had just completed the total suspension rebuild.

The engine bay was clean, but mostly “paint detailed”.

My son and I have disassembled most of the car at least three times since the 2006 season.

Each winter we do a major tear down and upgrade for the next season.

All Buick Show – August 2007

Posted in Shows 2007 on February 3rd, 2010 by Stewart

This show was hosted by the Buick Club of America.

There were beautiful Buicks of all ages in attendance:

I REALLY like this Centurion!

So did a lot of other people!

Back to the Centurion…

This was my favorite car in the show.  Presented by a group of really nice guys.  They did a VERY nice job on the car.

The attention to detail on this car is second to none!

This show was held at the Antique Power Land in Brooks, Oregon.

It’s the perfect setting for a car show.

We had a great day, met a lot of nice people, and saw a lot of beautiful Buicks.

We even won first place in our class!
